I was looking through some things I wrote down a while ago when I found this:
And I think I’ve finally figured out why I enjoy his company so much: he completely understands my sense of humor. I appreciate him immeasurably for that. He picks up so easily on the subtleties of our conversations and perfectly gauges my intentions. He knows exactly how seriously (or not seriously) to take me at any moment, which is actually a frustratingly difficult task for most people.

damnitdamnitdamnit. I don’t need a lover or a best friend or anything I just want to know there’s someone around who’s soul parallels mine.
